Focused Mind, Open Heart

A heart-opening class to help you move past fear and all the ways in which the mind is holding you back. When you move out of your comfort zone, you have to get past the brain, the fear, and the ego. Today’s practice will focus on opening the front and the back of the heart, connecting and expanding the heart center, so you are able to freely give and receive love. You will get there by exploring deep backbends, Mermaid Pose (a variation of King Pigeon), King Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana I), and variations that expand the heart center in all directions. You will also move slowly through hip-openers and sequences to ease low back pain and create strength to prevent injury.
