Chocolate Shake Yoga Girl® Style

This Chocolate “shake” is everything you crave in a delicious chocolate milk shake but with the health benefits of a nourishing smoothie!

This is a super filling afternoon snack, rich in healthy fats, antioxidants, heart healing cacao, and refreshing mint providing deep nourishment for your body, heart, and mind.

This smoothie is naturally sweetened! We love to use dates as a form of natural sweetener, they literally are nature’s candy, adding a lovely candied flavor to any smoothie.

This recipe also calls for cacao powder, the medicine of the cacao is that it helps to repair the actual tissue of the heart. Have you ever heard that chocolate is good for the heart? Well, it's true!

We also love to add a handful of Brazil nuts and a teaspoon of hempseed. Both provide a high dose of healthy fats and antioxidants, and a creamy, subtle nutty flavor.

Add in a dollop of almond butter, almond milk, a few sprigs of mint, ice and wa-la! You have a delicious, healthy Chocolate Shake Yoga Girl style!

Chocolate Shake - Yoga Girl® Style

Ingredients:

  • 1 Banana
  • 3 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • Handful of brazil nuts
  • 1 tsp hempseed
  • Almond milk
  • Few sprigs of mint

Process:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender, add just enough almond milk to get the blender going and enough ice to make sure the texture resembles a chocolate milk shake.
  2. Garnish with hempseed and mint leaves and enjoy!
